In this workshop, we will explore the educational benefits of incorporating technology with the Common Core State Standards for mathematics, with particular attention to CCSS Math Practice 5: “Use appropriate tools strategically.”
Shifting from Worksheets to Meaningful Tasks

Perhaps one of the most exciting, but also one of the most challenging, is moving toward providing meaningful and engaging tasks that allow students to make connections and expand their understanding of concepts and procedures. In this workshop, participants will learn to make this shift, discovering how to turn an ordinary worksheet into a meaningful, rigorous task.
